excuse the late night post but this is important: i'll be reworking the licenses of my music. i'll be slowly retroactively switching them from CC-BY-SA 4.0 to CC-BY-NC 4.0. i read up about creative commons licenses and realized something about the way the non-commercial term works that i got wrong all my life.
this doesn't mean that you can no longer include my music in your videogame or monetized video. you can, but i reserve that right, which means you have to get in contact with me. however! i'm thinking of simplifying the process of licensing my music for commercial purposes, so that not everyone has to do this. to any small creators or artists who want to use my tracks: all i ask of you is that you buy them. doing so will grant you permanent permission to use the song(s) you bought commercially. and also credit me, that's still part of the license.
i'm also thinking of starting a patreon and offering among other things a 50% discount on my entire bandcamp as well as a blanket license to everything AND free access to my discography. i've held off on doing a patreon because i couldn't think of how i could make it worth anything. i'll run some polls on bsky to see if there's an interest in a patreon. i'm thinking i could run a discord server where i'll do weekly feedback. also discounts on commissions and direct access to stems.
